AE Ascend was formed with the goal of helping the A/E industry succeed and climb to new heights. Our founder, Jared, started AE Ascend after spending time in the mountains thinking of the parallels of ascending a peak and growing a business. Doing either takes knowledge, self-awareness, agility to deal with the unexpected, and perseverance. The path to success is difficult and often not a straight line.
Yet businesses often plan as if their journey will be a straight line along a well-worn path. Traditional A/E training, planning and management approaches assume this as well. AE Ascend was formed to address this disconnect. We provide fresh perspectives and new ways of approaching business to build the knowledge, insight, alignment, and agility needed to help your business achieve its highest potential.
About Jared
Jared Jamison
Founder and President
Jared is an accomplished engineering executive with over 20 years’ experience in engineering management, operations, financial management and business strategy. He has served on several boards of directors and served as treasurer for professional organizations. He is a speaker, writer, and adviser on topics of business management and strategy with an emphasis on the A/E industry. He has a passion for strategy and business management and is particularly interested in how these can drive success in architecture and engineering firms.
Jared is a registered professional engineer with BS and MS degrees in engineering from Virginia Tech and an MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University. He has worked as adjunct faculty for the Virginia Commonwealth University Executive MBA program, teaching business planning and has been a guest lecturer for a professional services MBA class at the University of Richmond.
